Happy New Year!

First of all, I apologize for being late with my blog over the past year. With the new storefront being built and filling orders, it has taken a lot of my time away from Blog, Twitter & Facebook.
Now that the storefront has opened before Christmas, I can now focus on other things.
Thank you to everyone who has been incredibly supportive and understanding while we achieve our goal! It has been a very long process and a lot of hard labor after a year and a half but we did it!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I know we did but it just went by way too fast for me. I didn't even finish the tree,lol!
2011 will bring yet another major change to our business. I will be changing the design of the mason jars to a more unique and fresh look. I feel that even though I love the mason jar style, more and more candle companies are offering the same look. Also due to customer's requests, I will be offering different sizes jars as well. Once the style is chosen and testings are complete I will notify of the new change.

Updates!

Hello!!
As some of you are aware, we are working hard in setting up a storefront which we hope to complete by the summer. Originally I was hoping to have it ready by this spring but that is not the case. It's really amazing how fast time goes by. It's a long work in progress but I can assure you it will be done and the results will be amazing!
I also have been ordering more primitive style products which I think you will love. These products are of high quality and your home will be pleased. I also have some exciting new original 'no two are the same' hand made wooden products that will not be available elsewhere in the Okanagan. These products will be displayed in our new storefront once it is completed.
So keep checking back once I list some of the other products on our website.

Long Overdue!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! We've had quite an eventful start with forest fires and evacuations which disrupted not only the everyday life but our business part as well. We're fortunate to have very understanding customers who received their orders late. A big thank you to all! Also we'd like to thank to all the firefighters who has worked exhaustively to put out the flames and the RCMP for monitoring the evacuated areas. Last but not least, a special thanks to The Salvation Army & Emergency Services for their excellent support & supplies to displaced families and individuals. It's been a very touching & emotional experience knowing how strong our local communities have been while enduring such an unfortunate forest fire disaster.

Now back to our business updates. As you may or may not have seen on our website, we have a new line dedicated to the Twilight Saga Series. With twelve scents based on a character or setting from the series available through room sprays and glassware, it's perfect to wrap yourself in the 'Scents of Twilight' while reading the novels or watching the movie.

I've had many questions regarding if we have a store set up in our area. Unfortunately we don't at the time BUT we are working on setting up a storefront in our garage which is being converted. We're hoping to have this ready by fall which is our goal. I'm really excited about this as this will offer a better service to our local customers.

Grand Reopening on March 1st!!!

Hello all and welcome! We decided to add a blog since it seems like everyone is doing it and we're not about to be left behind in technology!
Let me introduce you to us. I'm Shannon and am a stay at home mom to four wonderful children while running my soy candle business. I've made my first candle when I was ten and was hooked immediately. I love creating new colors, scents and different sizes! Of course how I make them now is very different from when I was a child. Using soy wax which burns cleaner and longer, I spent a lot of time testing, changing formulas, wicks until I was happy the way they turn out. I've been working with soy wax for the last 5 years and started marketing in 2005 with a website and doing craft shows. We've had a huge success and with the help of my wonderful husband and relatives ,we've expanded our lines to the point of having to move our work area out of our house into a larger workshop which is an ongoing progress.
